TOPIC: TIMOTHY: A WORTHY SON AND SERVANT

TEXT: 2 TIMOTHY 1:1-6

Key Verse: "To Timothy, my dearly beloved son: Grace, mercy, and peace, from God the Father and Christ Jesus our Lord" (2 Timothy 1:2).

Timothy was a young Christian from a place known as Asia Minor. His mother, Eunice, was a Jewess, and his father was a Greek. 

Timothy's grandmother, Lois, was a friend of Jesus and she influenced Timothy and his mother to also become friends of Jesus. He had a humble and teachable mind, and was steadfast in the way of the Lord as he had been taught. 

He later met Apostle Paul who taught him how to live for God and serve Him. He became a companion and assistant to Paul in his missionary work.

Timothy became a pastor as a youth, and he was very faithful in God's service. Apostle Paul relied on him for the work of the ministry.

Paul wrote many letters to different churches and people through him. He also reminded him of how to live his Christian life so that he will make it to heaven at last.

Timothy's life is a good example to follow - he proved to be a worthy son to Apostle Paul, and a faithful servant of the Lord. In any area that God calls you to serve, be diligent and faithful like Timothy.

Prayer: Father, please give me the grace to be diligent and faithful in serving You.
