TOPIC: GOD HATES EVIL DOINGS

TEXT: HABAKKUK 1:12,13

Key Verse: "Thou art of purer eyes than to behold evil, and canst not look on iniquity" (Habakkuk 1:13a).

No one likes looking at filth. Some things are too dirty to look at. It is very irritating to look at dirty and offensive things. There are some things that are so filthy that you have to quickly turn your eyes away from, if you mistakenly see them.

If it is like that with ordinary human beings, how much more with God whose eyes are too pure to behold iniquity? Our Bible passage reveals that God is holy and so pure that He cannot behold evil.

God is very concerned with the world because it is filled with much bloodshed, immorality, hatred, pride and ungodliness. We have made our world offensive to a righteous God.

God sees our innermost thoughts and knows all that we do. We should not continue to do bad things which will make Him to totally turn His back on us.

God saw iniquity and idolatry among His people, Israel, and removed His hand of love and protection from them. Israel then went into captivity and much suffering.

You also must reject everything that is ungodly. Turn away from all appearances of evil, then the Lord will accept you as His beloved child, and His goodness and mercy will abide with you.

Prayer: Lord, I repent from all sins, please help me to separate from every evil and bless me.
