SINCERE MILK MONDAY AUGUST 16, 2021 TOPIC: DO NOT BE A SLUGGARD
TOPIC: DO NOT BE A SLUGGARD!
TEXT: PROVERBS 6:6-11
Key Verse: "Go to the ant, thou sluggard; consider her ways, and be wise" (Proverbs 6:6).
Who is a sluggard? A sluggard is a lazy person who is not willing to do anything. He lazes around and sleeps a lot instead of waking up early to do things that will benefit him and others around him.
A lazy boy or girl will find it difficult to do quiet time or his daily Bible reading. His school work will also suffer, and his performance will be poor all the time. He puts off what he can do today till tomorrow or a later time. To the lazy boy or girl, there is always 'tomorrow' to work.
The tiny ant is a good example for the sluggard to learn from. It works endlessly to provide and store food. God worked for six days and only rested on the seventh day. He showed us this example of what we are expected to do - work hard and not be lazy.
Come out of your lazy habit today! Excellent results awaits the diligent child who puts God first and does his work at the right time.
Prayer: Heavenly Father, help me to overcome laziness in my life; make me a hard-working child.
